Our sweet Roxy dog had puppies yesterday. She really suprised us with not 3 puppies, not 6 puppies but 9 puppies. Thats not including the 2 that we lost. The poor girl was carrying 11 puppies. After watching her and her 18 hours of labor I'm really glad I'm not a dog!
One of the puppies is all white. I didn't even know that was an option. It is SO cute. Don't get your hopes up, its been "dibbed" by at least 3 people already. :)
Props to Cousin Carolyn for saving #8. We didn't think it was alive cuz Roxy lost interest (thats what happened with the 2 that we'd lost already) but Carolyn saw it twitch and wouldn't give up on the little sweetie. The puppy is now rooting and nuzzling with all its brothers and sisters and is doing great.
Did I mention there are 9 puppies? They're all in the picture but good luck counting them all. The white one stands out but all the others kinda blend together when they're eating, and they're always eating!
DOG PILE!!So, life here is a little on the crazy side, and my house, not smelling so good right now. :) But the puppies are here and momma is doing great. If you know anyone who wants a puppy, or 3, just let us know. We have plenty but I don't know how long that will last (well, at least 6-8 weeks, but beyond that...)
